Celebrate Oktoberfest at The Greens
Celebrate Oktoberfest at The Greens: Tradition & Flavor
Every September, people around the world raise their steins and join in one of the most beloved cultural celebrations: Oktoberfest. Originating in Munich, Germany in 1810, Oktoberfest began as a royal wedding celebration for Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen. The festivities included horse races, music, and plenty of Bavarian food and beer. It was so successful that the event turned into an annual tradition. Today, Oktoberfest has grown far beyond its Bavarian roots, additionally celebrated internationally as a way to enjoy German food, beer, and culture with friends and family.
At its heart, Oktoberfest is about community, comfort, and flavor. It’s a time to come together, toast to good health (“Prost!”), and also enjoy hearty dishes that showcase authentic German culinary traditions.
Oktoberfest at The Greens
From September 24th–27th, 4PM-9PM The Greens is bringing the spirit of Oktoberfest right here with a special menu that highlights classic flavors alongside our chef’s creative twists. Celebrate Oktoberfest at The Greens!
Warming Starters
No Oktoberfest feast would be complete without a warm, comforting start. We’re serving a rich Cheddar Beer Soup, the perfect blend of sharp cheese and malty beer. Pair it with Warm Pretzel Bites dipped in spicy mustard and cheddar ale sauce. Or try our crispy Potato Pancakes topped with apple-onion compote and sour cream. And for a true taste of Bavaria, you can’t miss the Bratwurst Skewers, served with tangy mustard.
Classic & Creative Entrées
Our entrée menu brings together traditional German dishes with modern flair:
- Veal Loin Schnitzel – A golden, crispy favorite balanced with bright lemon and sweet-tart lingonberry jam.
- Beef & Bacon Roladen – A true German specialty, rolled with mustard, pickle, and onion, finished in a savory red wine brown sauce. Served with chive spaetzle and fresh vegetables, it’s as authentic as it gets.
- Citrus Grilled Lake Trout – For a lighter option, this dish pairs delicate trout with lemon pepper butter basmati rice and a seasonal vegetable medley.
- Braised Short Rib Ravioli – A rich and hearty addition featuring caramelized onions, cabbage, and demi brown butter sauce with tender baby carrots.
